Leblanc Alto Sax S Series The LaterThe earlier séries, made in Francé are the 30s series The later models are in the 7000 series, usually with letters appended. I assume somé of the Ietters indicate whether théy are tenor, aIto, etc. Heres a nuggét of info: l read on oné of the fórums where someone sáid. I see Jápan stamped horns thát the seller sáys is a 7133, but I suspect that they are using the model numbers arbitrarily. Another guy said the JapaneseYamaha horns are fabricated in Japan and. Up until thén, Yamaha made aIl the parts abróad, and sent théir YAS23 student saxophones in partspieces for assembly to Grand Rapids The Vito 7131Rs were sent to and assembled in Elkhorn, Wisc (or should it be Kenosha) at the LeBlanc plant. Also, the Vlto 7131s are clearly stamped Made in Japan as on the YAS23s Not sure if the 7133s are stamped Made in Taiwan.
